HAPPY BIRTHDAY ETHAN!!

You are 8 today. We are so proud of you. I cannot believe that you are such a big boy. I also can’t believe that this time 8 years ago you made me a Mother. I had no idea just how much I did not know! Mostly, the love that a mother has for her babies. The love was absolutely overwhelming. Not to mention how overwhelming it was to have no sleep. You were right around 3 when you started sleeping through the night, thanks to your love for your pacifier! When we finally broke that habit, you began sleeping all night. Coincidentally, that is when your 1 yr old baby brother also started sleeping through the night!

1. You made me a mother and we learned a lot together – trial and error (and still are!)
2. You are such a great big brother to your little brother and sister.
3. You love math and science, and are very smart.
4. You have a great imagination.
5. I love the drawings and stories that you create.
6. You are (and say you always will be) my cuddle/snuggle bug.
7. You invented the routine of a kiss, zerbert, and a hug every night before bed and every morning before leaving each other – my days wouldn’t be the same without them!
8. You are a great soccer player! You talk about playing on tv someday.
